Dishwasher repairs across Melbourne

Freestanding, semi-integrated, fully integrated and drawer models. Drainage faults, spray arms, heating elements, door seals and the error codes that come with them.

Book this repair

Pick an arrival window that suits — it's four quick steps.

  1. 1. What's broken
  2. 2. Where
  3. 3. When
  4. 4. Your details

Step 1 of 4 — What's broken

Booking a dishwasher repair. Different appliance?

What's it doing?
  • Two hour arrival window, Monday to Friday — pick yours when you book
  • 12-month parts warranty, 3-month workmanship
  • Original parts only, fitted on a return visit with no second call-out fee

Tell us the error code when you book

If there is a code on the display, it is the single most useful thing you can give us. Half the time it tells us which part to put in the van, which is the difference between finishing the job on the first visit and booking a return.

No code showing? Describe what the machine is doing in plain terms — water left in the base, grit on the plates, a puddle on the floor, a cycle that stops part-way. Each of those points at a different part of the machine.

Diagnosis

The faults behind most call-outs

  1. 01

    Water left in the base

The filter and sump, nearly always. Food packs into the fine filter until the pump cannot pull through it. A full strip-down clears it; a wipe of the coarse filter does not.

  2. 02

    Dishes coming out gritty

Blocked spray arm jets, a packed filter, or water not getting hot enough. All three produce the same complaint and need separating before anything is replaced.

  3. 03

    Water on the floor

Door seal, base tray, or a hose connection behind the machine. Integrated units hide leaks inside the cabinetry, so by the time it reaches the floor there is often damage to check for as well.

  4. 04

    Will not start

Door catch, control board, or the machine sitting in a fault state it will not clear. Usually diagnosable in minutes.

  5. 05

    Smells even after a cycle

Biofilm through the sump, the filter and the seal fold. This is a cleaning job rather than a parts job, and it is the same work as the end-of-lease clean.

  6. 06

    Cycle stops part-way

Commonly a heating or drainage fault the machine has detected and halted on, rather than an electrical failure.

How it works

Four steps, no surprises

  1. 01

    Tell us what's wrong

Appliance, suburb, and what it's actually doing. Model number and error code too, if you can reach them.

  2. 02

    Get a window and a call-out fee

We quote the call-out fee for your suburb and confirm a two hour arrival window that fits the day's route, rather than an all-day wait. Ring before 10:30am and same-day may be possible.

  3. 03

We attend and attempt the repair

The technician works the fault on site within the booked time. Most jobs are finished on that visit.

  4. 04

Repair or replace — your call

If a part is needed we talk you through it and give you a quote, and you decide whether to repair it or put the money toward a new one. If you go ahead we order an original part and come back to fit it — labour and part only, no second call-out fee. Covered for three months either way.

Common questions

Questions we get asked

What happens if you can't work out what's wrong?

We look at the call-out fee case by case and it may be reduced or waived — the Terms set out how that works. If we do find the fault and the machine turns out to be beyond economical repair, the diagnostic fee still applies: the diagnosis was the job, and knowing not to spend money on a repair is worth having.

Do I get charged twice if a part has to be ordered?

No. If a part needs ordering we book a return visit to fit it, and there is no second call-out fee. You pay for the part and the labour to finish the job, nothing else.

How long is the warranty?

12 months on parts we supply and fit, and 3 months on workmanship. If the same fault comes back within 7 days of the repair, we return with no call-out fee.

Can you give me an exact arrival time?

We book a two hour arrival window rather than a fixed time, Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, so the day's route holds together and everyone gets seen when they were told. A 9–11am window means the technician arrives somewhere in that window. If you ring before 10:30am, same-day may be possible.

What do you need ready when the technician arrives?

Safe, clear access to the appliance, plus working power, water and drainage so the machine can actually be tested. Built-in dishwashers and washing machines often need pulling out of a cabinet — we will talk you through that on site before anything moves.
